Technical log data is stored only for as long as this is necessary for the purposes stated. The retention period at Railway depends on the plan booked and, according to Railway, is generally no longer than 90 days. 3. Contact form and email
When you get in touch through the contact form, the following mandatory details are processed:
- name
- one contact detail: email address or telephone number – either one is sufficient
- consent to the processing of your details in order to handle your enquiry
The following details are optional:
- starting point (a selection describing the state of your website)
- your request (free text)
- on the website analysis page, additionally the address of the website to be reviewed
Technically, the page from which the enquiry was sent is also transmitted. This serves solely to attribute the enquiry; no usage profile is created from it.
The form contains a field for spam protection which is not visible to visitors and is not meant to be filled in. If it is filled in nonetheless, the enquiry is discarded and not processed further.
If you contact us directly by email, the email address, the content of the message and any further details you volunteer are processed.
The data is used to handle the enquiry, to answer follow-up questions and, where applicable, to prepare a quotation.
Where the enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For general business enquiries, processing takes place on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in handling and answering the enquiry.
The mandatory details in the contact form are required so that the enquiry can be handled. Without them, an enquiry cannot be processed through the contact form. Either an email address or a telephone number is sufficient as your contact detail; the two are equally valid, and which of them you leave is your choice. The remaining details are optional and may be left blank.
